Order Vital Certificates

Certified copies of birth, death, or marriage certificates can be purchased online by authorized individuals through our Vital Director platform. This service enables you to order and pay for Yolo County vital certificates online, eliminating the need to visit our office in person and wait in line. To ensure authenticity, you will be asked specific questions about your identity, and you will also be asked to upload a photo of your ID.

You will receive automated email notifications throughout the processing of your order. Non-authorized individuals may obtain an Informational certified copy, marked "Informational, not a valid document to establish identity." For events that occurred in other California counties, copies must be obtained directly from the specific county or the State Office of Vital Records.

***NOTE: Please ensure your delivery location is secure and accessible as once an order is processed and handed to the shipping carrier responsibility transfers to the customer. The County is not liable for lost, stolen, delayed, or misdelivered packages. If a package does not arrive within the expected timeframe, we cannot offer replacements or refunds; a new order must be placed.
